Rest and Relax.....

Welcome to Old Sulehay Cottages, originally three farm cottages built in 1873 by the nearby Apethorpe Estate.

Rest and be Thankful is one of those cottages and sleeps up to four people with all the comforts of home, set in a beautiful location with stunning views. Walk out of the gate and there are three nearby Nature Reserves waiting to be discovered.

Just a ten minute drive to beautiful Stamford, the jewel in Lincolnshire's crown and at the gateway to five counties, the area is often described as the "undiscovered Cotswolds".

We are delighted to announce that Rest and be Thankful has been awarded a Certificate of Excellence by Trip Advisor. We have listed with TripAdvisor Rentals for 3 years and always strive to provide great customer service. It’s great to be rewarded by TripAdvisor Rentals after all of our hard work and it’s wonderful to know that our many guests over the last year have really valued their stay.

Rest and be Thankful

Rest and be Thankful sleeps up to four people. With super comfy beds, high quality bed linen and newly installed double glazing, you are guaranteed a warm and cozy stay with a good nights rest. The fully equipped kitchen means that you can relax and eat in or venture out to one of the many local eateries. Or light the barbeque and sit in the garden to enjoy the sunset with a glass of wine. Your four legged friends are also welcome.

Wake to views of the paddocks, orchard and the sound of birdsong....

The Little Bothy

This recently renovated two bedroom barn sits behind Old Sulehay Cottages and was originally built to provide a laundry and store rooms for the farm cottages built in 1873 by the nearby Apethorpe Estate. The barn has been thoughtfully restored and extended to provide a modern, self contained cottage sleeping four people. Imaginatively designed and finished to a very high standard, the barn offers luxury and comfort in abundance.

Perfect for a romantic getaway - quiet, peaceful and relaxing for just the two of you.

Set in a peaceful location just off the beaten track, relax in the orchard with a book or walk in one of the three local nature reserves, and spot deer, foxes, badgers and red kites flying overhead, stunning at any time of year. Alternatively, visit one of the nearby market towns, all very individual, or the famous Burghley House, and its gardens designed by Capability Brown at nearby Stamford.

Beautiful at any time of the year....
